The 3x3x3 Cube was first made by Professor Erno Rubik, a professor at the
University of Budapest in Hungary.
While explaining three-dimensional design to students, he wondered if there
was an easy way to teach them the concept of three-dimensional space.
At first, he made several cubes with paper, colored them, and connected
each side to explain, but it was very hard because it didn't turn.
While walking along the beautiful Danube River, thinking about “How can I
make each side of the cube turn?” he came across a pile of stones by the river.
'Wait! Those stones are stacked well without falling. Aha! If the cube's corners
are interlocked like the shape of the stacked stones, the cube will not be
crumpled even if it turns.’
The professor first cut the wood and made a 3x3x3 cube.
Then, he colored each side of the cube and turned it around.
The cube worked very well.
However, after the professor turned the cube, the color of it was mixed on
every side.
It was hard to solve it.
The professor thought and studied for a long time and finally solved the
cube.
He was so happy and had a lot of fun after solving it.
The professor thought, 'I should make more so that other people can try it.'
he made more cubes and recommended it to the people around him.
People who got the cube began to fall in love with a new toy, and more
people began to look for the cube.
The cube's popularity lasted so long that everyone wanted to play with the
cube.
Try to solve the Rubik's Cube!!
I have planned educational content using cubes for the first time globally. Also,
I am working on professionally developing, producing, and distributing various cube items,
starting with the cube solution book "JJangsaem's Cube Class" in 2011.
Since 2013, I have trained many blind Cubers by providing blind people with opportunities
to learn cubes, and since 2018, I have conducted overseas cube education support
projects by visiting developing countries and giving field classes.
I am constantly working on research so that anyone from kindergarten children to older
people can learn cubes easily.
